Syllabus Overview

The training is organized into five key units to enhance the knowledge and skills of agro-input dealers for extension advisory services:

• Unit 1: Introduction to agricultural extension and the role of agro-input dealers in supporting farmers.


• Unit 2: Practical extension methods and tools to engage farmers effectively.


• Unit 3: Technical knowledge on seeds, fertilizers, pest management, and soil health for improved crop management.


• Unit 4: Soft skills including communication, leadership, and problem-solving to build trust and influence farmer behavior.


• Unit 5: Use of ICT tools like social media, apps, AI, and IoT to deliver smart advisory services.
